The 35-year-old also shared insight into, as Casie said, his new era of music, which sees his album Lost Americana released later this summer.
“I’m nervous to go and perform, but definitely not nervous about the new album,” he explained. “This album is just like, look, things that come from a pure place can’t be denied. So I’m aware of when I’ve made things that I don’t know, I’ll call out myself be like, ‘Oh, that felt artificial.’ This is, this is as organic as it gets.”
MGK continued, “It’s a bunch of me and my best friends sitting in the living room jamming and talking about what life is at that time. We’re just like, we’re back to the simple things, you know?”
